    Tarnished jewellery?
In the warmer summer months, if the jewellery has been stored away in the pouch with no airflow a 'heat tarnish' can, unfortunately, occur.
(Please note, this is different to tarnish you would find with low-quality jewellery)
Unfortunately, this December we have discovered our new pouches can create a microclimate; trapping oxygen and creating high levels of humidity ~ this heat can further accelerate the 'oxidation process' & has the potential to leave your jewels with 'heat rash' (Brown Spotted marks - not ideal).
If you have encountered this - please email us

We recommend storing your jewellery out and away from the pouch to ensure airflow. Store your pieces in a tray - or in the box with the lid off to avoid the oxidisation process.

    Warranty & Repairs

Every one of our Flash Jewellery designs is created in-house with craftsmanship, classic & essential qualities in mind. We value longevity in our jewellery and we accept that it is our responsibility as a small business to incorporate sustainable, responsible practices into our processes.

Our policy is to repair, restore, then replace.

Our jewellery has a 6-month warranty from the date purchased that covers manufacturing defects and faults. This warranty does not cover general wear and tear or damages to your jewellery. ie - improper care or failure to follow our care instructions provided.

Please note manufacturing defects and faults do not include:

General wear and tear resulting in (but not limited to); rings that have become misshaped, surface scratches, broken chains, plating that has worn off, chipped gemstones, loss of charms and improper storage.

For all warranty enquiries, please contact us at with the details and your order number.

    Re-plating service coming soon

We’re happy to announce we’ll be implementing a replating service for our Vermeil pieces very soon, this service will allow your most loved flash pieces to be re-dipped in gold to restore their shine and finish.

    Brass ‘Buy-Back’ scheme

Prior to creating our pieces in 14k Vermeil, we used brass as a base-metal to produce our jewellery - As gold plated brass is not as durable as our vermeil pieces a replating service is not recommended. Because we are unable to extend this service to older brass pieces we’re introducing our Brass Buy-Back scheme.

Do you have an older Flash Jewellery brass piece? If so, this buy back scheme will enable you to send this old piece back to us and we will ‘buy it back’ via issuing you with a 15% off credit which can be used at Flash Jewellery.

These pieces will then be sent back to our manufacturer to be melted down, purified and recycled giving them a second life.

If you would like to participate in our buy-back scheme please email us at (Subject line - Brass Buy-Back) included photo of the piece you would like to send back with your details and order number (if you have it), then we will be in touch.

How to tell if you have an older brass style?

Look for stamps - Our older brass styles will not have the 925 sterling silver stamp engraved on the piece. If you're unsure please send us a photo and our team can help.

    Spare Parts

We believe there is a use for everything - we save all spares, components and parts (some could say Nina has a collecting problem) these are all re-made into new pieces inhouse or kept for repairs - Items with slight defects are not wasted, these are sold via our yearly sample sale ~ Nothing is disregarded.

If you are after a spare part, charm or a solo earring please email us at

Faulty or broken items we’re unable to repair are all sent back to our manufacturer, these are then melted down, purified and recycled, giving them a second life.

We’re not perfect but we are continuously working towards more sustainable processes and being better - progress, not perfection.
