RICCI | Drop One. 

Ricci embodies the nostalgic and playful era of costume jewellery from the 1980’s & 90’s ~ not to be taken too seriously, to have fun with & to let these feelings resonate from within, we want to take this chance and break down some features of this collection for you...

The Square Plaza Hoops

Designed over lockdown while dressing down and for comfort - the idea of ‘when it’s all over‘ fueled the inspiration for many of our Ricci styles. We wanted to hang onto the notion that we will want to get dressed up again, celebrate occasions, be together, put on a good pair of party earrings and dance the night away…. 

Our Disco Drops in particular were designed with this notion in mind… (The name says it all!) Influenced by a classic 90’s style, we’ve designed these to be super lightweight & functional, featuring small inter-joining jump rings, they move with ease & are a joy to wear.

Our hollow spheres which feature in this series on our Disco Hoops and Disco Drops .01 & .02 are all handmade which in turn make every single earring unique and really special… It’s been a work in progress with these hollow balls; we started sampling these a year ago, going back and forth trying to make them as light as possible so we could meet our design aesthetic and still retain functionality... And finally, success!

In this collection we are also super excited to welcome our 02. version of our original ‘Serpent Chain’. We launched our original chain in 2016 and it’s been a fixture of our collections ever since. After exhausting our original chain supply (the joys of small-batch manufacturing) we looked to improve on this design and create a new version inline with our other styles, from this the Vero Chain evolved. Creating this version in vermeil ensures its durability & longevity, designed to become a forever piece in your collection.

Ricci, like all Flash Collections, strikes a balance between strong and soft, occasion and every-day. The simplistic and more minimal side of Ricci is echoed through our elevated essential styles, such as with the Waves Bangle 01. This is a continuation of our Waves series & feels as though it has been a part of our collection forever.

Driven by creativity, clarity and perspective ~ Ricci has been a rewarding collection to design, create & produce; we are so thrilled to be able to share it with you!
